twg--you know the guy who painted that I guess? I just saw it on the street, when I was out east visiting some family. It was just some little grafitti-looking mural thing on a door. Might've been a door to a shop or something...can't remember. It was somewhere downtown, kinda near Citadel Hill, a few blocks from the water.

I only met him a couple of times back in the late 90s. He just seemed spaced and dead certain graffiti art was the ultimate form of creativity.

I can't remember what street Bubbles there was on, but the business used to be a record shop the DJs all went to find stuff to scratch with. I dunno what's there now. Probably something to sell junk to the tourists that come during the summer. But yeah, it's only a couple of blocks from the waterfront.

2. Ottawa River between North Bay and Mattawa
1. Muskoka's (Especially the Gravenhurst/Bracebridge area)

Victoria ahead of Quebec City (which you didn't spell right, by the way)? That's practically Quebec bashing.

One of the first two will be chosen to represent the third. My bet is on Banff to appease Albertans as B.C. might have another finalist.

Well, the seven wonders have been selected by the committee and the following posters were first to mention three of them:

Quebec city- not as much nightlife as Montreal, but old Quebec is great

But then the remaining four wonders goes DUMB.

The canoe?
The Igloo?

And Prairie skies! as if big skies aren't just as nice in any flat area of the world. Northern Lights would have been much less dumb. Prairie skies!

And Pier 21 in Halifax. Shocked Trust a CBC committee to pick a boring obscure piece of our boring history textbooks to profile a boatdock for immigrants from way back. Like people will go there just to see it. Like people will go, wow, wonderful! ... dumb. They shoulda picked the Cabot Trail to combine history with breathtaking beauty.

I just thought I'd update this, seeing that the verdict is in.

After over a million votes, they brought it down to 15 and then let 3 judges decide from there. I've posted up the video of the results.

I'm sure there will be many surprises....
