OT: I have no friggin' idea wth you are talking about, OP... In my 5.5 years in Krea, I've been refused service at a couple of places - actually - they were all night clubs and I was pretty drunk at the time, so I don't really remember the circumstances. |

I was walking down that one near Yongsan one afternoon and got called to by a lot of the prossies there.. But then again, I'm extremely good looking, as you know, so I might be the exception. |

I don't understand what the OP is talking about. Not because I can't relate, but simply because the writing is incomprehensible. If your verbal attempts to communicate to a Korean are as asstacular as your language attempts to fellow native speakers, I can understand why you may be having some trouble. Or perhaps, as Mr. TRAITOR has suggested, you wear your balls on your chin.  |

Same thing happened to me. But they kept yelling "short time", "short time". Apparently, being foreign, I wasn't good enough for "long time". Typical! |

I'm welcome at red light districts. The madams compete really hard for my business by grabbing my arms (and something else) to try to get me inside of their business establishments. Grocery stores and banks, on the other hand, can sometimes be a challenge. |

OP, if you don't like something, why don't you look at how you're approaching the situation and see if something can be fixed there?

You're right! Everywhere I've traveled or lived in the US, I am always hearing shopkeepers saying, "We definitely will not serve anyone who is Korean." I remember when I was in West Hollywood, all over the place, you'd see big bright signs saying, "No Koreans allowed."
Whatever. Korean students in the US are not systematically discriminated against. In the US, even ILLEGAL aliens can open bank accounts with fully functional check cards. |
