Also, may I add, SAJ, that you are 30 years old. The cut-off age for calling people poser-losers is 14, or 16 if you come from a real white trash town, and 19 if you are a dirt-scum, deserve to be put off the earth lifelong NOFX/311 fan.

You also called that I-something guy a loser for enjoying hanging out with his work friends on another friend. Who gives a fuuuuuck?

Grow up, baldy. (an insult that works at any age, at any party)

Of course not. It's for a few lonely greaseballs to take out their insecurities amidst the anonymity of the forum.

That's questioning the OP's absurdity, which is, clearly, prohibited. Shame on you.

Kind of ridiculous wouldn't you think?

I find it just as ridiculous that on this very board there are a significant number of lonely white guys trying to act like they are Koreans. Let me be more specific. It's obnoxious when, in a post, some guy (it's usually always a guy) types Hangul letters or uses the Korean name for something when it isn't needed.

It's one thing when you are trying to help someone on the board and you type the Korean letters in order to help the person recognize the word so they can buy the item in the store. Using Hangul to help "identify" something that isn't usually transliterated into English is very helpful.

But, using Hangul letters simply to "show off" or be a poser Korean is just pathetic. I've read many posts on this board where people would type the Korean letters for subway stops! Why the heck would they do that? It seems like a snot that knows Latin, using Latin terms around people who can't speak latin, just to be "sophisticated."

I can read Korean all day long, but I know that most people on this board can't. This is an English language board. So use English. Type the hangul only when needed to HELP someone. Rather than make Dave's a place that features arrogant snots, perhaps we should make Dave's a friendly place. A place that's accessable, even for the fresh off the boat westerner that doesn't know a word of Korean.

Stop trying to impress us. It doesn't work. You just look pathetic and socially inept. Desperate, even.

And stupid. Like Malibu's Most Wanted -- Korean Style.

I want to try something here and see if you guys can understand what I'm talking about.

Last night, my chang Mo Nim said to me, "Sit down here in front of me, I'm going to BuHang your back"

So I sat down in front of her, like the good dog that I am.

She proceeded to "BuHang" my entire back. I have red welts all over my back and shoulders from the Buhang suction cups.

I ask you now, what health benefit does "BuHang" give me?

How did the suction cups stick to your fur? Did she shave your back?

It's not always about showing off, there's another reason I can think of, fun, pure and simple. A sense of play is healthy. And play with language, especially the native language of the country you're in, and especially when you're a language teacher, has got to be healthy. And this forum is about a whole lot more than "help", that is a small part of it. It's a huge discussion board, and most of it is debate and banter.

You seem bitter, insecure, small minded, and lacking in social skills. I mean, trying to change the way people relate on a message board, that shows profound ignorance. People are gonna do what they're gonna do, and not change that for you. A message board is an organic thing, you can't control it. Either bite the bullet or get knobbed.

No, YOU seem like the bitter, insecure, small-minded loser lacking any/all wit and refinement. Obviously you took your on-line name from a book you found lying around, because, judging from your snarky, arrogant response to superacidjax's post (which I tend to agree with, by the way...)
you're anything but 'enlightened'...!
