So in my "kitchen" there are only two electrical outlets.
I have my fridge plugged into one and then a 5 outlet powerbar plugged into the other one. In the powerbar I have a blender, toaster, electric kettle,portable oven, and a microwave. I never use more than two of these appliances at the same time.
This morning I went to use the electric kettle and it wouldn't work. I then checked the blender and it wouldn't work. Microwave and fridge however were working fine. I moved the electric kettle to another outlet by my computer and it worked fine there.
Any ideas? |

Yup, I tried that too.
Re-arranged the plugs, unplugged and plugged in again, reset, turned off. Everything....
I mean...I just bought the damn strip yesterday. Could I have blown something? Do I have too many watts coming through? |

Do you have 220v in your house or are you running a transformer to 110v?
I used to live in Korea and had my hour reduced to 110v and couldn't use a US power strip. I had to buy a Korean one. |

The fuse has probably blown in your power strip or your apartments electricity box has tripped. You will either have to replace the fuse in the power strip or reset the electric box. Depending on which has gone.
The typical outlet can handle about 2500 watts. Look at the sticker on the back of each applaince and check the total watts don't exceed 2500. |
