My month in New Zealand left this Canadian humbled: people are so much kinder and more polite there than back home. Way more.

Kiwis? Seriously? I'd say 80% of all Kiwis I've met have been constantly looking for a fight.

I met very few young men, and as a guy in his mid-thirties, my experience might have been shaped by that.

Maybe Canadians were mistaken for being friendly when they were actually high on something.

Apparently someone heard the word "HIGH" and it was mistaken for "HI".

"I'm HIGH, how are you?" Very Happy

im a canadian, i dont think were really outgoing enough to be considered all that friendly - polite,yes...decent people? for the most part.....while traveling i always like brits and some u.s.a's, theyre more likely to break the ice

If you travel thru NZ, avoiding its young people is one way to guarantee yourself a carefree holiday, an Intensive Care free holiday anyway.
