Anyone heard of one available in Korea with battery lengths in excess of four hours?
Not laptop computers, just those portable DVD players in the 150,000-200,000 won range.
I've come across ones with only a 2.5 hour battery. Not even long enough to show a film like Titanic, Braveheart, etc. |

That might be hard to find. The reason flash players have more batery life is because they don't need to use battery power to spin a DVD in the drive.
Even those that advertise "4+ hours" is just that, advertisement. The ACTUAL playtime is probably only about 2-3 hours.
If you need 4+ hours then I would suggest getting a flash player. Sure, you gotta convert your DVD's to that format. Or you could just download the movies via bittorrent thats already in xvid/divx format thats ready to play. |

A friend of mine has one that has 4 hour battery life. It will play DVD CD or files off a USB Drive. It's pretty old so probably isn't available anymore. |

I was going to ask the same thing. VI, do you specifically need to play DVDs specifically, or would a Portable Media Player suit your needs better? I would guess that unless you specifically need the menu functionality of a DVD, a PMP would be a much better media device. |
