from what i gather most people have the same vacation on their contracts, 10 workdays a year, 5 in summer and 5 in winter. I also heard that all hagwons kind of take theres at the same time so when is it, i need to know so i can tell my ass hole boss |

If you are working at a public school, it should be FOURTEEN workdays not ten ( 7 in the summer and 7 in the winter).
You can take them anytime when school is not in session..so whenever your camps (if you have them) are finished you can go. |

My high school is giving me a little more, because I asked very nicely. I think the term is groveled. |

I think summer vacation is from the 13th to 13th at my public high school. Hagwons are different but if your boss is letting you decide then pick days that are most convenient for you. |

My contract say 20 work days. 10 work days during summer and remaining in the winter.
I'm sure they will try to say 14 days like other public schools and try to screw me over. |

Most hakwons dont let you choose at all. They have pre-set days. If they do let you choose, you only get 5 days at a time, usually, with an annual of 10. |

Doubt it.
I've got a national holiday in the middle of mine and it is letting me take ten straight days rather than 9 days and having to work a random day of the week, |

I think you are entitled to one day off per month or accumulate this during the year, so 6 days off in the summer and 6 in the winter. Please check below:
Quote: |
Labor Standards Act
Article 57 (Monthly Leave with Pay)
* (1)An employer shall allow one day's leave with pay per month.
* (2)The paid leave in accordance with paragraph (1) may be used by a worker, of his own free will, either by accumulating or dividing it within one year.
|
Correct me if I am wrong but aren't you entitled to 6 days holiday per summer and winter? |
