Can a hagwan deduct pay for the two days an employee was on a visa run? It seems to me that they should pay you since it's work related.

Actually, since you cannot legally work until you get your E2 visa, you are not entitled to be paid at all until after you return from your visa run. Labor cannot force your school to pay you for working illegally.

It depends on your boss. My boss paid me for my visa run.

OP- this is probably a good indicator of things to come from your employer... unfortunately.

BTW- the Labor Board is not there to judge your visa status. If you claim, they pursue.
