That's how they make their living in Eastern Europe...gypping people in currency exchange transactions. I've seen them in action, they're pretty good at it but, they didn't get me...I used more reputable money changers who don't put wads of paper in the shopping bags full of currency.

As a point of interest for older cars................

The Govt. will pay you for scrapping cars that have been registered in Gyeonggi or Seoul for the last 3 years.
Depending on the age and quality of the vehicle, the price varies.
It is the system for getting older smokier cars of the roads!

You could theoretically buy an older motor, and scrap it next year if it breaks down, without losing too much (or any) money.

It would have to been registered for the last 3 years around Seoul area.

We were offered 620, 000 for our 1994 model!
