I want to get an HDTV. I only want something thats in the 20-30 inch range. Preferably wide screen.

I don't do any gaming and I don't even have a DVD player. I just have digital cable with HD channels. I live in a small one room studio so anyhting larger than 30" is impractical.

Can anyone recommend some good TV's? Should I spend the extra bucks for LCD or CRT HD's still good enough? I'm trying to keep my costs down. Something around 500,000 won or less would be perfect.

Not sure if this applies to you, but if you have a computer in your 1 room, and a flat comupter monitor, i.e. Liquid Crystal Display, why not just get a TV card for your computer? They are only about 30 000 won If I remember correctly.

If you have a good video card in your computer, the graphics from a TV card are really very nice. You can do things like record stuff onto your hard drive, play DVD's off your computer, etc.

Just a thought .... It's up to you of course.

I wish I could do that. All I have is my Thinkpad T40.

If you can read Korean and navigate websites, you can get an idea of prices from this site. www.enuri.com

I bought an XCanvas, and would caution anyone to stay away from a no name brand. You really want to stick with Samsung, LG, or Panosonic. You want to make sure that you have a high dpi rate.

I searched around on this site, and for a low end flat screen you can find one in the price range you are looking for.

I'm thinking of waiting to buy a similar TV when I get there. I assume that after I leave Korea, I will need a converter to use it in the US, correct?
