| i have been at my University for 4 years and each year i get a new contract wriiten and signed for in June. I then go to immi and get my visa renewed. I do this prior to my vacation. My contract is up at the end of August, but we have a very busy summer intensive with very little free time. This year the school tells me that immigration now says that you can only renew up to 2 months prior to expiration, so the school will not give my contract until a much later date. Can anyone confirm this immigration ruling? Pleaseeeeee |

Yup, you can extend any time during the last 2 months of your VISA, but not before. at least that's what the letter they sent me said. It only takes a few minutes and 30,000 or so. You should be able to do it one morning. You just have to make the time.
