I rented a taxi for a day to take me us all over Bohol. They know what everyone wants to see - went to Chocolate Hills, Tarsiers, and this river trip with musicians and dinner.

I paid the taxi something like 500 pesos (US$10).. something like that.. could have even been double that it was so low.

If you are staying at Alona Beach.. there are more than enough tour agencies who can setup you up there as well.

LUGOD RENT A CAR
Address : 161-1 CPG NORTH AVE., TAGBILIRAN CITY
Contact No. : (6332)4112244 4112686 Fax. No. :
Manager : ZOSIMA LUGOD

You are aware that Cabilao (Loon district) is NOT on Bohol island ( but is a little island a short way from the ferry dock at Tubigion. It is in Bohol province.

Car rentals run between 2000 and 3000 pesos per day + lunch and dinner for the driver. He will take you anywhere you want and tell you about / show you all the sights on the island (including a tour completely around the island on the ring road if you want).

You can get on one of the tour packages for about p500 per person per day day but they may have other people in the van/car with you.

My advice is spend the extra and get the private car for the day (8-12 hours). Ask if you can get the manager's oldest son as your driver. He is excellent and you will be very happy at the end of the day.

Yes, we know that Calibao is a small island. We are going there for the beach and diving, but we want some more activities.

thanks for the advice!
