Does anyone know if you (I) will need a new visa (with a new certified copy of my degree, new transcripts, visa run, etc) if I am in Korea, but will take 3 weeks to travel, then return to a new school?

If both schools agree, can I avoid the hassle of a new visa?

I went home at the end of my contract and returned to a new job (organised before I left Korea) I had to go through all the documentation again. Your currrent VISA is with your present job, this will expire and you will have a new VISA sponser when you return. Yeah I wish we could dodge all the hassle but we can't.

I've been teaching here legally (ONLY legally) since 1997 and every time I change jobs, I have to prove all over again that I'm legal because immigration cannot be bothered to actually keep track of their paperwork. Rolling Eyes It's only gotten worse over the years. I remember when transcripts didn't have to be sealed and you didn't need a letter of release. I think it'll continue to get worse without them ever bothering to keep track of their paperwork from one day to the next.
