So, I was told to make a website for our school; why? I don't know; how? I haven't got a clue.
Does any one know how to do this? Is it free?
Should I make a Blog instead? How do I do that?
I don't know where to begin. Can someone help me please? |

Start by asking them what they expect of you. What do you expect they can expect?
You can set up a blog for free, set up a website for free but it'll take time. |

Editing and writing are demanding jobs. Writing promotional
material is almost like poetry in that you have to get the
words just right.
If you can't get out of it tell them they have to hire a computer geek to do the website and limit yourself to the English proofreading and writing. |

Is making a website a task that's included in your contract? Probably not, so don't bother! |

I agree that the first step is discovering what they want. If they have no clue give them a plain text webpage that you can create in Windows notepad in 2 minutes.
The answer depends on what they want. |

Start a Cyworld or Naver page for them and let them fill everything out themselves.
If you are just a regular teacher, then it is unreasonable for them to request that you make a page for them. I've worked in several schools that paid professional page makers upwards of 100,000,000 won to have a website made for them. I'm guessing that you won't be making anything as good or be getting as much reimbursement for your services.
I have known people to create good looking sites through google page maker.
Unless you use a free service like a blogging site, they will need to buy a domain name and hosting, AT LEAST. |
