Yes they should. All of them. There are white teaching trolls, so why not allow Korean trolls.

VanIslander, you usually seem so mature, open-minded, and fair. I'm surprised this is coming from you.

As someone said, think of Doggyji. Great Korean poster.

I thought Doggyji was a Gyopo (an American Korean, not a Korean Korean) and I certainly thought he was a teacher.

Yeah, I might be simply be phobic about the future, having recently noticed defenders of Koreans by Koreans themselves here (instead of by us waygook apologists Wink ) and I imagined this board BECOMING more and more inundated by the locals, as I have been annoyed twice by Korean Korean posters lately, an experience I'd never had in previous years, having previously been unaware that the locals are here in any numbers.

Maybe when there are a 100 or so of them that it'll become as issue for some others.

This NOT a free forum for all. It is an ESL teachers' forum and there are starting to be posts by neither teachers nor foreigners, some of whom have contributed nothing to my experience of this site, quite the opposite.

Anyways, for now, ...

THE TRIBE HAS SPOKEN.

I'll drop the subject and just put up with it.
Maybe having to think that locals are reading this and responding might make the posts around here more civil, guarded, less venting and empathetic. There is a good side to that. Here's hoping I don't piss off any locals and stop getting replies to my posts from locals irate at my perspective.

Anyone can post here as long as the rules are followed. There's always gonna be morons who will troll these forums---non-teaching Koreans as well as foreign teachers and what not. They just need to be dealt with appropriately or ignored.

I'm pretty much usually a nice guy who doesn't enjoy offending or insulting people.

But it seems when I, often called an "apologist" on these boards, express in those rare moments, frustration and annoyance toward something Korean, I have lately offended some local who needs to go out of his way to express his disatisfaction with what I have said.

I will just shut up more often, keeping in mind that Koreans are here on the boards as well.

I mean no offense.

Why drop it? You were right with your first post. This site should be for ESL teachers in Korea. And, maybe student questions. Is this site called ESL cafe? Or is it the "you're not me, so I hate you cafe?"

Okay, I will admit that some posters have been angered by my posts too. But immature middle-class jealousy I can ignore; I don't believe that I am here for any reason except to catch up on news pertaining to teaching in Korea. If I want to know about other issues, there are plenty of Korean sites to peruse.

You can't take him seriously. He's actually quite funny when you understand his shtick.
