Well, I just signed a short-term contract for the Middle-East so I have time to consider the offer in London. I leave very soon. I'll let you know how it all goes!!! Actually, they speak English quite well where I will be going so I don't think the language should be a problem. Anyway, I've always been fascinated with the Middle-East so I'm very excited! The important thing is my happiness, not just the money.
oh, please do let us know how it goes won't you? we're on the edge of our seat to see how long it takes for you to completly overreact and turn against a whole nation because of an article you read online.
you spent the whole thread disparaging the english, and opened the discussion by claiming you would NEVER go there, and now you've been offered a decent job (god knows why with your disgusting attitudes) you're going to consider your offer in london.
what was your point again?.... |

Some might say this German comedy routine is anti-American ...

although it isn't really.
This, from one of the OP's Indian chums, probably is anti-American
| Quote: |
| "Remember, a 35-year-old American's brain and IQ is the same as a 10-year-old Indian's brain ... Americans are dumb, just accept it. I don't want anyone losing their cool during the calls...'' the instructor tells a class. |

Now, with flag-burning perhaps an indicator of anti-Americanism, here's an image of where "flag-burning" occurs most frequently:-
Perhaps, on finding Britain and the Arab Middle East on that map, you can see the level of flag-burning (anti-Americanism) in various countries. Can you see any connection with the levels in UK and your destination?
Anyway, enjoy the Middle East: I lived there on and off for about 8 years and largely enjoyed it. As an aside, Arabs are perhaps the only other people on earth who appreciate American cars. |

Jeez, you must be hypersensitive if stuff like that is considered "anti-American". |
Oh yes, yes. I forgot
8.) Accuse the citizens of being "hypersensitive" who take offense to: very derogatory slurs; insults to their country/culture/people; being bashed bashed/flamed/abused for being part of the unpopular majority; and, attempt to bring the issue to people's conscience. |

Why, that's very Gallic, Wanga. Speaking of which, I just sang a very rude and xenophobic rugby song about a French man going to the lavatory to my 3 month old son. He smiled and giggled in such a way that I feel quite reassured of his Englishness. Good lad. It's not just the yanks we hate, after all! |

That's right:
A French man went to the Lav- atory,
so that he could,
take a sh it
He pulled his pants and his trou- sers down,
so that he could,
revel in it
But there was no toilet paper,
so he lifted up his voice and cried:
ou est le papier?
ou est le papier?
Bonjour,
Monsieur,
J'ai fait
Manure!
Never ceases to amuse my xenophobic little English mind! |

The Middle East is spectacular! I can't say enough great things about the country, the people and omg WOW! You people have no idea what you are missing. I'm on cloud nine. It doesn't get ANY better than THIS! Imigration greeted me with a smile, warm hello and finally a "WELCOME!" How about that! When's the last time YOU were treated so nice by imigration officials at the airport?! HMMMM????!!!! No anti-Americanism I could possibly detect. Just the opposite IN FACT! I'm warned to keep my passport close to me because it's considered first class an some people might like to have it just to say they have one and show it off. I'm reminded that Americans are considered first-class here! People are always friendly, MORE than nice. It's unbelievable!
The only anti-American attitude I've got so far has been from a Brit or two over here. I can see right through those dirty looks, those attitudes and crass jokes. My position comes more from my experiences than from this ONE article that people keep pointing to. Notice that I've posted many articles. Also, I tend to see that attitudes on TV from people in the media in London. Brits are more anti-American on there than any other media in the world with a close second being Korea. |
