| 10 years coming up in July, the 19th to be precise. It's amazing how I regard that date in the same category as uni graduation, birthdays, etc. |

I don't get it. Ten years of what? The first poster said not all in Korea, not even Asia. So what then?
I came here August 1996. |

Good question. First time I came here was March, 1988. Stayed for 2 and 1/2 years. Came back to visit a few times in the 90's and have lived here continuously since July, 2000. So does that mean I've been here 19 years? I think not. More like 10. What's my prize? |

Stories, please!
Coming 10 years ago's impressive. Nearly 20 years ago's amazing. What was it like? |

First here in 1994....then again in 1996....then 6 years in HK...and now three more here....all that included a couple of years back home...so 11 in total overseas and the last nine were in a row...
Actually, can't wait to get back to Canada...just waiting for those pesky daughters to finish primary school... |

First got here in 1996.
But spent a year in South America, a year in Europe, a year in San Francisco, and two years in New York all within the last 11 years (half of them in Korea, half out). |

| Wow, some people have been here that long teaching English. I know of one man who been at it for 9 years straight in Korea. I just wonder how long the English teaching industry is going to boom like it is. I hope for at least 5 more years, becuase it's quite a bit more interesting than beating the pavement in our home countries. |

Ah, easy answer to that my friend, over ten years since I first came to Korea. First time leaving Canada too. Good enough explanation?
Also, know a guy who arrived in 1988, most of the time since in Korea. Tiger Beer knows who. |
