I keep hearing about an Indian/Asian market in Cheonan somewhere near Yawoori/Cheonan station. Can anyone give me exact directions? |

Maybe I'm missing something, too.
There is an Indian/Asian grocery store near Cheonan station, but calling it an Indian/Asian market might be a bit of a stretch. If you go to the plaza in front of Cheonan station you will find the grocery store. As you head towards the staircase that takes you into the station you can see a row of shops to the left of the staircase (family marts, walnut cake shop etc.). Above the shops there is a big sign advertising the Asian food mart, but be careful, the sign is not directly above the mart, but a bit off to the right. Anyway, it is a small shop in that block that sells curry powder, tinned rambutans and the like.
On a side note, a Korean friend of mine from Seoul asked me why are there always so many 'Asians' around Cheonan station. I told him it is because Chungcheonnam-do is IN ASIA. He didn't get it though. |

There's an Asian food market near MegaMart, out past Cheonan Technical College. They have lots of interesting stuff ... lamb and basmati rice are real bonuses there. There is another Asian food mart near the train station that has packaged curry powders, etc. and also Singha for 2,500 a bottle. Near the police station downtown, across from Yawoori, there's also the Pinoy shop that has, among other things, Red Horse and Tanduay. |

SOOOO funny!! I guess what we mean is a NON-KOREAN Asian market!
indytrucks I think the one out by MegaMart might be the one that I'm looking for...I'll check it out...as well as the other ones. Is it on the left or right after the Technical College? Before or after MegaMart? Is there a sign?
Thanks everyone for all the help! |

It's almost directly across from MegaMart, on the left hand side if you're going in the direction of Pyeongtaek/Songtan. |
