I'm moving to Seoul in less than two months, and I'm a total foodie! I love food, and I love different types of cuisines. Being Korean, of course, Korean food is my favorite! But I also love Indian, Thai, Italian, French, Japanese and Persian food. Where in Seoul will I find my Chicken Tikka Masala, Pad Kra Prao and Beef Koobideh?  |

How is the quality and taste? Is it "Koreanized" Thai and Indian food? I love food, but I'm also very picky.  |

| theres a great nepalese/indian (everest) near dongdaemun. been to a few mexicans. i've noticed thai & italian. theres plenty of diversity in seoul. |

| There's an Indian place in Insidong (however it's spelled) with Chicken Tikka Masala. How was it? Don't know; they wanted 26,000 won for it. I got some rice vegetables and curry instead (11,000). It was pretty good. |

26,000 won for a plate of Chicken Tikka Masala? Wow! Did your meal come with rice, naan bread, daal, saag paneer, a drink and dessert! I'd pay 26,000 won for all that! |

I'm not sure about what comes with the Chicken Tikka Masala, but my vegetable and curry meal did not come with naan, daal, saag paneer, a drink, or a dessert. It was just rice, vegetables with a curry sauce, and a glass of water.
Have you ever seen that retro/antique toy store? It must be about three floors up. Well, the Indian place is on that side of the street, and I'm pretty sure that they're both close to each other. |

yeah, that place in insadong is expensive. i was delighted when i found it, but left after checking the prices. ridiculous.
hit everest, the food is excellent, and the cost extremely reasonable.
we had 2 starters, 2mains, 2naans, raitia, rice & drinks (soju, beer & coke) all for the princely sum of 42000 |

Went to Wazawan near the mosque in Itaewon and that was really good indian/kasmiri food.
For middle eastern the best places are Petra and Pharoahs |

There's an amazing Turkish restaurant in Hyehwa. I mean really, really amazing. Nice decor too. Meals start at about 12,000 and go up to 25,000 or so, more so for the lamb dishes. The only dish I'd say to avoid is the Turkish pizza. It's not bad, just everything else is better. They have Turkish beer too, Effes, which tastes like a slightly better Budweiser. Yeah, well at least it's Turkish.
The Persian restaurant in Hyehwa is not worth it, in my opinion. Too expensive for mediocre food. |

Wazwan. Yes. You can't get better tasting Indian food in Seoul and their prices are cheap considering everything is freshly cooked after you order. For a curry and a couple of nan, you'll spend around 15,000 won and be very glad you did. Here's their website,

Where abouts is the Turkish restaurant? Sounds good.
I agree with you 100% on the persian curry restaurant. Too much heat and not enough flavor in the curry. Avoid. |
