I'm going to buy a motorcycle and did the test et al for a driver's license.

My license says: 2종 보통 on it. Is this proper for a car and driver's license? A Korean friend told me that I could only drive a car with this. I thought the licensing bureau said it's okay for both. My Korean isn't good enough to completely understand what either were saying. I know there are licenses that don't say 보통 on them that are for scooters? 헉....
