Does anyone know if the money I make when in Korea is taxable upon return to my home country?
I live in Canada BTW. |

It may be, depending on what Revenue Canada determines your residency status to be. (resident, deemed resident, non resident).
The determination will depend on your primary and secondary ties to Canada as well as the length of time you are out of the country.
There is NO communication or reporting between the Korean and Canadian tax agencies or governments and you will NOT get a "tax slip" like your T4 at home to show your income.
Alternatively, tell them you were back packing around Asia and ignore the taxes. There is NO WAY they can in fact determine your out of country income (taxable or otherwise). |
