I was in Yongsan looking at PDA's with GPS. I want something that
will let me record the location of pictures and keep track of waypoints.

Even better something I could run linux on.

Are the GPS systems in PDA's that good? Should I go with
a dedicated GPS and forget about the PDA?

I also want to use it when I go to china. I'm afraid if I buy a
Korean GPS mapping system it will be useless outside
of Korea.

It surprises me that more cell phone companies do not effectively use GPS devices for fixing locations. With the Dong/Gu system, it's always been such a pain to give a location point. I don't know when the street address system will be useable for the popular culture?? (Maybe try giving cabbies street addresses and watch them scratch themselves in confusion.)

Seriously, Korea could really benefit from GPS devises. It surprises me that people aren't using them en mass. They really should begin marketing them and see people's lives begin to be less stressful.

I have a Palm Tungsten T3. I'm looking for a GPS solution in Korea.

It seems you can buy bluetooth gps receivers to work
with your pda. I can't read Korean and my coteachers
are not techies.

Do I need "high sensitivity"?

I really don't know what I'm buying.

I think I would like a pda that will
let me run linux. I think that
would be cool.

The GPs receivers aren't really the problem. The main thing is Software. Are there any GPS solutions for a PDA?
