There have been quite a few occasions where I've seen people get plans canceled on them over the excuse "I have to go out with my company/coworkers." I see it all the time and its always last minute. The crazy thing is, everyone just accepts it. Who cares if you made plans 2 weeks ahead of time and already got everything prepared. Man's gotta go out with his company/coworkers. Its work related so there's no helping it.
Is it the best excuse ever? |

I have to admit sometimes I've arranged something, say I'll be there and then don't feel like it, so I pull this one. It is the best excuse ever and one I should probably stop using except when I'm seriously anti social. |

My question is, what's the best excuse to get out of going out with co-workers? |

Just tell them you have a prior promise (appointment) and then gracefully duck out or don't go. |
