Its because they remember how Americans bombed the Serbs for them. Either that or they want to join NATO/ EU. |

Albanians are fond of saying: "We screwed the Serbs with Clinton's dick!"
They are a particularly ignorant, low-life, violent, backwards people.
No big surprise if they worship W. |

I am an Albanian teacher teaching Albanian in Korea. And if you do not retract that comment, you will have to marry my sister and give me three cows. If you don't, I will get violent on your ass.

There is a large ethnic Albanian population in my hometown. They came in droves from 1999 onwards. They loiter in large groups in the city centre. Their dress sense is god damn awful; black shoes with shiny silver buckles and multi-colored tracksuits. What the Serbs did in 1999 was no different from what the Ottomans did in the Battle of Pristina a few centuries before. It's worth remembering that the Kingdom of Serbia helped keep the Ottoman Empire at bay. We should never have bombed them.

Please accept my apologies. To show my sincerity, I'll throw in the preserved foreskin of my firstborn son and the dessicated rectum of a she-goat, which I understand is a rare treasure to your people. |

I demand two dessicated rectums of she-goat. They look better in pairs when I nail them above the door of the birthing-room.
You have offended my honor. Pay up.

Fool!!!
Everyone knows they are to be fastened (not _nailed_!) with the garlic-infused sputum of a neutered milk rat above the door of the MENSTRUAL SHED~!
Now I shall carry out a blood feud against you and your descendants for one-and-a-half generations or as many toes as remain on my bare feet, whichever number is higher. |

Sorry. I am currently involved in a heated blood feud with my father's other family. As soon as time becomes available for skinning your children and wearing them for a hat, I will let you know.

At first I thought this thread was about Bush's popularity in Alberta.
That Canadian province of oil fields and beef ranching is enamoured with texas in particular and America in general. Coming from B.C., I see political attitudes are so STARK in Alberta. I did my undergrad in that province so I've had countless intellectual discussions with Albertans. I even returned as a journalist one year.
Bush is popular in Alberta but extremely unpopular in the rest of Canada.
I expect that one day, perhaps a century from now give or take, Alberta will be one of the first provinces to seperate from Canada and definitely the first to join the U.S.
Albania? Dunno. |

Totally untrue. Albertans are conservative, but not pro-Bush. Pro-American, for sure. Not pro-Bush. Not at all.

I suspect that is the case. |

U2 both seem familiar with albanians?
I only knew one- not a bad guy at all.
Have met one serb who was a posing as-hole.
However my general support for serbs is that they were an ally of the west that didn't deserve what clinton dished out. |

Albanian is very friendly towards America.
Even to the point of taking in those freed from Guantanamo and with no other place to go. Dozens. I would only hope that Bush heard the concerns while in Tirana and might respond by giving these men/boys some help -- like a compensation package. Fat chance though.....

To give them more training in terrorism I presume?. Albania is a muslim country.
I'm sure Iran would be just as "generous'.
you were a bit slow with that one boyo. |

??? So any muslim country is a "terrorist" country. That's a leap of faith.
They were in fact given asylum there because no one else would take them -- they aren't terrorists or terrorist material, even and despite 4 years in Guantanamo.
Please don't lump Albania into some mythological category of "Muslim" nation. They are as secular as they come AND as Muslim as they come. Believe it or not, this is possible. A point, all the rejects who scream without any nuance on this board, forget.
