You also forgot "intelligence"......Phd does not = intelligence. In most cases, just specialization and specificity. And we all know life , its success or failure is most reliant on vision/breadth and not that which is narrow and straight.

I am sure you wouldn't have guessed it, but, you and I share A LOT of thoughts and opinions. Figured I'd just throw that out there.
Would love to meet you. |

My BA plus I am ServSafe certified. That means diddly in the ESL world but I'm a Goddess in the world of restaurant management. |

When I chose to do my Masters in Ed, I looked for a course and classes that would help me be a better teacher. So chose an area that I had a lot of interest in but little academic knowledge of...and that was the teaching of reading and writing to second language students.
It has helped immensely in my teaching. So much so that I feel comfortable (well more comfortable) about teaching my own kids to read and write. |

Well, I have a BA, but the thing that prepared me most was teaching art since I was 15 years old. Three of those years were with ESL students. And I remember what it was like to be a kid. |

My "package" is not up there as an option so I'll abstain from this poll. |
