HBO's latest series. Anybody watched it yet? Any good?
From HBO's website: Created by David Milch (HBO's 'Deadwood'), and "surf-noir" novelist Kem Nunn, "John From Cincinnati" jumps the border between everyday reality and the humanity that exists beyond it.
The show is set in Imperial Beach, California, a pretty rough and tumble part of San Diego (as far as beach areas go), and as an ex-surfer from a nearby neighborhood, I'm very curious to give it a look.
I'd say the show has potential based on the who the creator is and the fact that it is HBO. |

| Crap. Why Milch gave up on Deadwood for this is beyond comprehension. |

Just finished watching and I pretty much agree. Feels like The OC on heroin and supernatural steroids. The actors can surf, though.
At least there's still more Deadwood coming. Two or three mini-movies are what was promised. |
