I don't hate Christians. I just don't like people who say they are Christians and/or feel the need to ask me if I'm Christian. |

It's absolutely amazing that in 2007 there are still millions upon millions of people who believe In Christianity, Judaism, Islam etc. I think there are perhaps only two categories of persons who believe it:
1. the uneducated / under-educated person
2. the mentally substandard person
The mentally substandard / stupid person is probably lost to us. But the ignorant and uneducated person (who is not necessarily stupid) can be reached. It is the duty of all non-believers to enlighten our fellow humans.
Religion is an insult to human intelligence and its very existence hurts us as a species.
The internet has a massive amount of anti-religious material that can be
used to turn people away from religion. I'll start with posting this, but there's tons of good material out there. Bring it to the attention of any believers that you know:

It's not so much as hating the people, as thinking anyone who considers themselves a christian is an idiot(same goes for most other religions).
In asking this question, and taking pride in calling yourself a christian, I can only assume you've never actually read the bible or you're an idiot. There really aren't any other options. |
Christian person who believes in biblical inerrancy.
Not the same thing. |

I despise born agains/evengelicals/fundamentalists/happy clappy's etc. They are the radical conservatives of the christian world. I put them on a par with radical Muslims in terms of the damage they have done and are doing to the world. |

Now, let's assume - and it's a mighty big assumption - that Jesus existed. What do we know about him? The answer is absolutely nothing! None of the authors of the gospels ever met Jesus. People lived for about 35 years back then. The first gospel was written decades after the death of Jesus. The author (unknown) made no claim to have ever met Jesus. The other three gospels were based on the first (Mark) with new details made up by Matthew, Luke and John (who again had never met him). The last of the gospels was written about 150 years after the aleged death of Jesus.
So even if he existed, we know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about him. And only the ignorant or feeble-minded can believe the fantasy stories written about him (again, by people who never met him).
The earliest writings about Jesus are the letters of Paul. Yest another person who never met Jesus.
Yet these Christian people who bother us on the subway want us to base our entire life - and our intellectual and spiritual energy - on a fantasy written by dudes two millennia ago who had never met the person they're writing about. |

He has just as much chance of having existed as Plato or Aristotle. |

Although studies have shown there is an inverse relationship between intelligence and religiosity, there are many exceptions on both sides. It's obvious that scepticism about religion can be applied to many other critical thinking faculties, but there have been too many intelligent religious people throughout history to write them all off.
I do agree though that religion is an insult to human intelligence. It's hard to take someone seriously if you can picture them praying to invisible gods behind closed doors. I have a friend who loves war and wants to kill all Muslims in the world, but in private he loves Jesus. It's kind of gay. |

I am not looking you flame you all, but I just have a question.
Did you hate Christians before coming to Korea? Or did you come here and start the hate them (us)?
If it's the 2nd one, I can fully understand, as I think Korea has got Christianity all wrong. I don't see how going into a subway car with a cross and shouting at people is spreading God's word. |
I've found Christianity a lot more distasteful since coming here. I will never step foot in a Korean Protestant church again unless it's for a wedding. |

If you think everyone has a right to their own beliefs and values then why do you hate Christians
The same understanding which accepts you as a non-religious person should also accept a Muslim as one too, no...
...or i sense a tiny bit of hipocracy in this thread...dont I |
