i was using movies from this site for my afterschool class...

i tried to do a prntscrn to use still images in a quiz later and no dice... just black screen on the print and other weirdness... more later... |

| Try using VLC player. (freeware; google it) It plays everything I've tried and has a "snapshot" function to boot. |

u need to use VLC media player or GOM playr to get snapshots

hosts movies online... it streams them using it's own proprietary player... I don't think your suggestions would work in this case... would they?
It was really odd when I did try "prntscrn" it created a window but the image never moved. When I pasted it into a graphics program it just stayed in the same position... if I zoomed in I could see the image at the appropriate size... but if I zoomed out then there was only a small portion of the image viewable at the same scale... it basically created a peephole... really weird.

yes you can.
1 Open Window Media Player
2 Then go to Tools | Options
3 Select the Performance Tab
4 Click on the Advanced Button
5 Uncheck �Use Overlays�
6 Click Ok
7 You're good to go |

This might work as I got an error message prompting me to install Media Player 9 or later (?) when I tried to watch a movie from cinewel.com on the dinosaur PC in my school's English Cafe. |
