anyone ever rented a car in seoul? there was an ad in the korean times for a while advertising 39,000 w/day but they told me today they weren't in business any more
kumho wants 60,000 a day (which he was happy to tell me is about $80/day and i said i live here i'll pay in kwon - a quick check at www.xe.com gives the conversation of 60,000 w to be $63 - ! 0
this is really steep - for a weekend, whatever, he said for a week it'd still be 50,000/day - !!
anyone know of any better deals?
thanks!

It was about 50,000 won a couple of years ago at Hertz in Gangnam. It IS expensive to rent a car here, but cheaper than in Europe where I got reamed in France at 70 euros per day for an economy car last summer. |

Yup. mileage is included here. Or at least it's been in all 3 times I've rented a car here. The first time the attendants were quite shocked that we managed to put 1600km on a car in 4 days. They asked: "where did you go?". I said "All over Korea", and it was no joke. |

Some of the smaller companies don't offer insurance. Make sure you don't end up being liable for repairs on some clown's Lamborghini. |
