| the subject says it all. I need a low budget commute to beijing from seoul(roundtrip). the only flights i can find are $500 US and up, even months in advance. Any help is appreciated. |

I assume you have more time than money.

Take the ferry from Incheon to Tanjin and then the train into Beijing.
Ferry cost is just over 100k won. Train is cheap. |

i flew from qingdao for about US$150 one way, buying the day before.
it was about US$300 for return.
a train from qingdao to bejing is cheap.
look into it. |

The ferry is 115K won one way for economy class. http://www.jinchon.co.kr/charge.asp That gets you to Tianjin, then you have to bus to Beijing (2 hours). Not sure the cost or frequency of the buses.
I was just checking flights from Incheon to Beijing at the end of June and was quoted 265,000 won plus 85,000 won taxes, return trip. Not significantly more than the boat, but way quicker. |

| China East operates return flights for about 250-300. Talk to Kangsan travel. |
