Hi all,

I just arrived here a month ago and unfortunately had my computer break yesterday. I own a Thinkpad T42 and yesterday night, it suddenly started acting bizare. Everytime I tough it, the screen goes crazy and the computer freezes. I think its something to do with the motherboard, as I have reformated the hard drive and it hasn't solved the problem.

I tried calling Lenovo here in Korea, but they said they wouldn't take in a laptop from outside the country. I called Lenovo in the states and they said that my warranty (3 year full warranty) covers repairs at ANY global office.

I'm thinking of going to the Lenovo office here in Seoul and seeing if I can work with them to fix it. Has anybody had any success repairing a Lenovo laptop here?

Any pointers?

Thanks!

Lenovo Korea are a bunch of usless cants.

I emailed and called them about purchasing a docking station and they refused to speak English or answer my emails even after checking with Lenovo customer service online that they had staff who could communicate with me.

Bunch of useless inbred farks.

You have three years warranty but this is Korea so I wouldn't expect much from them.

Great...do you know where the office is? Did you try and go in there and speak with them?
