Hi all...I plan on coming to korea soon and am currently working with a korean recruiter from netkorea. I just wanted to know if anyone else had worked with this agency and what their experiences were. I also wanted to know if anyone had worked at song-il school or in the city of pyeongtaek. Anybody willing to answer and share eperiences related to these questions? I would really appreciate it!!! |

I used NetKorea last year with my current job. I told them where I wanted to go and they find me a school within a week. They even stood by me when I was having problems leaving my old school.
I even got a better deal than the teachers using another recuiyer. |

Dude, are you sure you don't work for Netkorea. You seem to be just a little bit too satisfied. My experience wasn't as great as yours. Netkorea seriously misled me about airfare. I was hired three weeks before the end of my contract while I was visiting Canada. The recruiter insisted - insisted - that the school would pay for my return flight to Korea from Canada, and I would pay the trip expense to Japan for my visa a month later. She either lied or was misinformed because that didn't transpire and she took zero responsibility for the situation. Even though her 100% guarantee of paying my return flight from Canada to Korea was a MAJOR factor in my signing the contract. |

I didnt get unsatisfactory results from Netkorea. I didnt get any results from Netkorea. After several attempts to contact Netkorea, I didnt even get a reply from them. |

I used NetKorea for my public school job. I think Joyce did a fairly good job of answering all the questions that I had, though she did seem to get pushy when I questioned a few things in the contract such as vacation time, overtime, etc.. She arranged a meeting for me at the school that I would be signing the contract with, which was invaluable because it allowed me to meet 2 of my CTs, inquire about the quality of English instruction and see the apartment (even though I declined since I have my own housing).
I think Joyce moved on with another company though, so I'm not sure about the other recruiters that may work there now. |

NetKorea was pretty decent. I'd use them again. |

Don't work in Pyeongtaek. To put it simple, it really is nothing and you will be lucky to earn a decent salary. It is in the countryside and it takes time to travel to interesting areas. I worked there 18 months and decided to move on. There are better places than Pyeongtaek. |
