| Have any of you used VEOH to download films and music? What was your experience, good, bad, or? Did it cause any problems to your harddrive? |

| I use it. I use a mac. The only issue is sometimes the player stays on the screen and makes my other icons unusalbe/inaccessible, so I have to shut it down and restart. This happens only once in a while, I just make sure I'm using it while working on something I'll save later (as shutting it down won't let me save other work). |

| I tried to use it on my PC. I thought it was a pain in the butt and slow as h3ll. When alluc.org redirects me to VEOH, I just close it and move on to something else. |

It takes quite awhile to download, yet the quality is good for a change. It also takes some time to learn how to locate good films. They are in there though.
Once they are downloaded they take up a lot of memory. Some will convert automatically into DivX if you have DivX Movie Player (DivX has a confusing number of downloads) and can then be transferred to DVD.
Lately I've been watching Cinecast when it works. It always seems to be either disabled while they scrounge for money or else just dysfunctional. Their latest dysfunctionality (yes, I know, a neologism) is that there is no description of the films. Just a tiny thumbnail picture. I click them anyway (being a dysfunctional person myself.) Hell it's not going to hurt you to watch an Indian musical occasionally.
The teenage genre films made in Spain but pretending to be in the U.S. are interesting.
Saw Full Metal Jacket the other night, transmitted somehow from some High definition system somewhere. Really nice quality! It must have deranged me though because I was reprimanded for using a four letter word in a scrabble game with the kids the next day.
As for VEOH be sure to look at Rashamon. |

| I've had pretty good downloads. I've been using it to keep up with the current season of Dr. Who. |

| The other thing I don't like about VEOH is that even though I signed up, I can still only get 5 minute previews. Maybe I'm doing something wrong... |

I dunno what's up with that. Some videos have them and some don't, and I don't know if it's the poster or VEOH itself doing it on some of their high traffic videos.
But I always just download them when I come across them, and they play in full. |

| Ok. Thanks for that. Maybe I'll give it another shot. I do like the vid quality. Much higher than some of the other sites Alluc redirects to. |
