Does anyone know if the International Clinic in Itaewon accepts walk-ins for STD screens, or is an appointment necessary?
Also, how long does it normally take to receive the results if a person gets screened for all diseases? If a person just gets the chlamydia screening only, how long does it take to get the results? |

I noticed where the International Clinic in Itaewon offers a urine screening instead of the ramrod method, so I'm wanting to go there. I don't want my rod rammed, but I want to make sure my noodle is al dente before going to Vietnam. |

Take care with the International Clinic in Itaewon.
In their tests they test for Ureaplasma which is naturally occurring in most healthy sexually active people and they will pump you full of antibiotics to kill something (everything) that is supposed to be there.
Question everything and don't take everything doctors tell you as gospel, especially Korean doctors who believe everything can be cured with a whopping dose of antibiotics.
Edit: cured, not cursed. Incompetent maybe but not witchdoctors.

LMAO
Confucius says:
If you're not careful what you do with it, it can get you in big trouble.
If you don't apply the appropriate protective measures, it can spread viruses.
And Tran Thi Dang says you are a poopy head. |

W20,000 in my gu. Not anonymous. At least, the appointment-setting was not. (They called someone I never told them about to confirm my appointment. ) |

recently went to a private clinic ... paid 13000 won ... they don't stick ur jimmy hole with a swab (thank god!) ... now they just check ur urine which tests 90% of all STD's (including gonnohrea, chlamydia, etc ... the results are quick too ... i waited 20 minutes for mine with a clean bill of health ... for the other 10%, aids syphilus etc u need a blood test which goes to the local hospital ... although u can do cotton swabs in the mouth now for aids ...
even though some clinics say it is anonymous ... TRUST ME, it's not when it comes to AIDS ... aids is a serious virus and needs to be treated as such ... u go in the clinic anonymous but when u come back for the results and it is positive ... ur not anonymous anymore ... clinics must have government officials meet u, usually in the office, and gather information about u ... they want names and numbers of who u been with ... it's anything but anonymous once ur positive ... they need to know who has it and where they are ... if u have aids and know about it but have unprotected sex, u can be arrested and tried in court for homicide (another reason why the government health worker needs to meet with u;needs to explain this)... it's like that in the states and it's like that in here ... ur ass will probably be deported too if tested positive ... an e2 and probably an f4 won't save u for s hi t ... it's not like it was before ... the government has gotten much stricter trying to contol viruses that can spread ... |

One week, but that's with the specimens sent up to Seoul. Apparently, that testing can't be done down here... |

Hey, guess what! If you are a foreigner and have AIDS or HIV, you can be deported. And since medical privacy here is joke, your doctor will probably report you!
Isn't that cool?
You need to have the test here:
http://www.khap.org/Main_Html/Main_Intro.htm
They won't report you.
There is another place, too:
Jongno-sam Ga. for gay men, although all men can go, its called iShap and its free but they don't speak English so you need a K to go with you. Its also completly confidential and the results take 20 minutes.
All this info came from Real Reality a few month ago, thank him. |
