| As a Scottish guy planning to go to Seoul later this year, how easy is it to meet other English speaking people? Having never done any travelling like this before it is all new to me. I want to meet and get to know Koreans, but i think it will be just as important to have englsih speaking buddies to go for a beer with too. Most jobs seem to provide a single apartment rather than sharing with others, so will it be easy to meet other teachers etc fairly quickly? |

It's pretty easy to meet other westerners. Where will you be working? In Seoul? Will there be other native speakers at your school/hagwon?
If you will be the only native speaker at your school and you're in a small town it may be hard, at first, to meet others. A good way is to post a message on Dave's saying which area you're in. People will point you in the right direction.
You can always hit Itaewon in the afternoon and pop into Gecko's. If you don't mind having a beer alone and are good at meeting people.
Good luck. |
