In China and Korea I've had lots of compliments about my "high nose" - people do seem to think its very beautiful. Also, I've heard that many Koreans go under the knife to have their noses made "high."

My students are very surprised when I point out to them that we think their little noses are cute. They assumed westerners would think their "low" noses rather ugly.

So, I would just relax and not get hung up about it. When they point out how big someone's nose is, it's not necessarily meant as an insult, so don't take it as one.
