We've decided we want to make margaritas for the pool on Saturday..
Does anyone know where I can get Cointreau or Triple Sec and Sweet and Sour near Itaewon? I've got the tequila and lime juice...
thanks... |

You might want to try the Hannam international market. I've seen Cointreau for sale there. Or was it Grand Marinier?
Sweet and Sour, I'm not sure. Countrytime Lemonade mix is a suitable alternative, if you can't find any. Just add about 1/3 of the water you're supposed to.
Whatever you do, don't add too much lime juice. Common mistake that can ruin a good margarita and make you sick to your stomach after two.
My on the rocks goes as follows:
1 part tequila
1 part triple sec
1/2 part lime juice
1/2 part S&S or lemonade
Shake vigorously, serve in a margarita glass with salted rim, handful of ice, lime garnish.
If you're going to do blended, add equal whole parts lime juice and lemonade, with two cups of ice per serving.
Enjoy... |

Yup. They're tough to find, but I know of a few bars that have them delivered daily. I just can't drink a Bombay tonic without a lime wedge.
The OP was probably referring to bottled lime juice. |

Really? Maybe it's particular to that concoction or your stomach.
I add copious squirts of lime when I make a cuba libre.
I get limes in Jinju and Geoje Island and the odd time when it's not in stock I substitute those small round bottles of it in the shape and colour of a lime.
Lime is the new lemon. |

Fresh lime juice is okay...it's the bottled stuff loaded with refined sugar that will ruin a drink. By all means, squirt away. |

My friend got some limes in from Thailand so now I need to find some good sweet and sour mix. Did anyone find a place to buy it? Or do I have to actually respond to one of the army guys on myspace so I can get on base? |
