What was your interpretation of the article?
I just read it.. it's a movement of white people who are into hip-hop in the hip trendy Williamsburg Brooklyn neighborhood which is basically a young hip trendy gentrified area that most young white people go to from Europe and other parts of the U.S. who want to be hip and trendy among other predominately white people (although there are of course trendy hip black or latino and definetely asian kids who are living there as well and part of that subculture).
Actually I lived in Williamsburg for 3 months during my 2-3 years in New York City. I'm most surprised they are getting into hip-hop.. but I guess things have changed since 1999 when I lived in that neighborhood. "Kill Whitey' seems to be their irony.. and if you've lived in New York, you'll occassionally be exposed to that at times.. so white kids taking that on as part of their own style of music.. I don't find it that strange. |

I should clarify...
Spoiled obnoxious young White brats...

And they are probably the same idiots who cross the street when they see a Black person on the same side of the street. Thank goodness for the gentrification of NYC, bringing people of different ethnicities closer together...HA! |

#1 - I'm not offended. I think it's quite silly.
#2 - Not to generalize, but they live in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn. Yuppie gentrified area of Brooklyn, if ever there was one. Full of spoiled brats. Native New Yorker....not talking out of my ass, ok?
