CLEX Review 3000: Study Software for NCLEX-RN

@ Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/NCLEX-Review-3000-Software-Macintosh/dp/1582550948

CD-ROM contains more than 3000 NCLEX-style questions within 29 major nursing topics. Detailed answers and rationales are included, as well as a glossary and detailed progress reports. System requirements: Windows 95 or higher, 32MB RAM, and 25MB free space. Macintosh IC 8.6 or higher, 64MB RAM, and 25MB free space.

This is an EXCELLENT NCLEX practice tool to use for nursing students preparing for the licensure test. This software has 3000 questions in the database!!!!

Ripped from my own disk using 'Alcohol 120' so you can just mount it or burn it. It should not require the disk to be in the disk drive.

if you want to send me an email about the info, please feel free

Thanks again !!

It looks like you have a CD Image file. You have to trick your computer into thinking it is a physicl CD. Go into the tools menu of Alcohol I think (I don't use it) and find a "virtual drive" command. Click on it and set the number of drives to 1. Once that is done in the same menu you should see a new disk drive letter. Follow it to "mount" image, click on that then find your file. Your computer should play it now. Follow the same steps and click unmount to eject your "CD". Another easier way is find the fole name extension i.e. .iso, .daa etc. and ask google how to open that file. You will probably find a step by step process with screenshots of what you should do.

Alchol 120 is cd/dvd burning software. The trial version is here: http://trial.alcohol-soft.com/en/

You need to burn the disk image to a cd.

You could also mount it to a virtual cd drive using alcohol120 or the freeware "demon tools" here:
this http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/download.php?mode=ViewCategory&catid=5

You could also burn the disk using the freeware here: http://imgburn.com/index.php?act=download

Good luck

No need to mess around with virtual drives (ie; Damon tools). You can simply expand the image file to your hard drive and install it from there.

MagicISO or ultra ISO can do this. Open the image file and choose "extract" then put the extracted files in a folder that you can make.

Then run the executable and install it. You can burn the extracted files to a CD later or if you have the space, just leave them on the drive.

Virtual drives generally are useful, but for a novice, if something goes wrong (and it does and can) it tends to be very problematic to correct.
