I am a Korean, born overseas. I try to love my country and be somewhat
patriotic. But sometimes things happen and it just makes me furious.

Last night I went over to my girlfriends house, because I hadn't seen her
in a long time. After a restful night we decide to come to my place to try
out the new Xbox360 I purchased yesterday, on a whim, because it was so cheap. We had a good time watching TV and just lounging around.

Then she decided to go home, so I tell her I'll walk her to the taxi stand. Just as I was doing that, I looked in the garage, to check on my car (which also has a blown piston from street racing). Suddenly, I notice an odd colored smudge on the front bumper. I take a closer look as it's night and i can't see much, and I realize something: It's not a smudge. Someone had driven straight into the front bumper, and split it into almost two separate pieces. Now, this car is a Jap import, meaning every single part is ultra expensive, since I have to import them from Japan etc... It will cost over 550000 won to get the bumper fixed, along with the 2 or so million to fix the piston.

The problem I have with this country is that people just seem to lack
basic morals. I have my cellphone number displayed in large block letters
at the front of my car, and anyone who felt half sorry for what they did
would have called and tried to negotiate a deal or at least apologize.

I'm so sick of people with bad manners and the constant hating going on between these money hungry natural resource sucking irresponsible people who drive like a 6 year old disabled kid I don't know what to do anymore.
I don't care what anyone thinks now, as I'm sure there are plenty gyopo haters out there willing to tell me that I have a pessimistic viewpoint and that it's wrong to

If I see that *ucker who did that to my car, I will not even bother going to the police, I'm going to personally make sure he will not be able to drive a car for the rest of his life.

Shall I do the honors?

Firstly, you have pissed me off because you keep talking about all this stuff you have. Namely an xbox 360 and a streetracing car, which brings me to assume you are some kind of imbecilic spoilt rich kid.

Secondly, Do you have insurance? Im not even sure if I have seen a car in Korea that doesnt sport random scratches and dints.

Thirdly, this kind of thing happens all over the world and is not isolated to Korea.

Forthly, dont post a Korea hating thread on a waygook forum in the expectance that you will be pat on the back.

Fifthly, ouch.

Well said, Seoulman.

I'm not really sure why the OP hates Koreans (or what the point of the girlfriend story was) because something bad happened to his car in Korea. Not only does this happen all over the world, but how can he be sure it was a Korean? I know lots of foreigners who drive here.

Take solace in your other precious possessions, OP. You are clearly a very lucky guy to have so many cool toys.

Sorry, OP, but this just gave me good chuckles. Laughing I appreciate that.

Firstly, I am not looking for a pat on the back, and secondly, a 200 dollar Xbox system doesn't cost as much as a 1500 dollar bike some of you foreigners have. Thirdly, I worked my ass off for 4 years trying to save up for that car, so I am not some spoiled little rich kid. Even if I WAS a spoiled little rich kid, that f*cker did not have the right to just bash in someone elses car and then just decide not to do anything about it.
And lastly, just because you don't have these things, it doesn't mean you can just blurt out mean things to people that do. That's just being a jealous pr1ck. Thank you, and have a good night.

Well, don't kick a guy when he's down. That's not cool. I'm sure most of us who've had decent cars in the past have experienced the joy of some asslackey doing a hit and run.

Both of my cars have been keyed. I'm talking serious, obviously intentional key scratches going from front to back. That's enough to make your want to rip someone's head off. Same deal with the OP, I think.

Do you live in an officetel? Is there CCTV in the garage? I know someone that got their car keyed and that's how they caught the person.

Who cares how much your things cost? Is that all that matters to you is showing off? Because I don't think any of us care how much you spent. And who said ANYTHING about that person having the RIGHT to vandalize your property? I've had my car broken into twice and stolen once. I know how angry one can become. But you can't go around screaming about how much you hate a certain group of people just because one member of that certain group victimized you. The people who stole my car (complete with passport, diploma, checkbook, etc.) proceeded to steal my identity. You can't imagine the kind of stress that puts on someone. The people who did it were white Americans. I don't go around complaining about/hating the citizens of that country because of it. That's completely unfair and ridiculous.

Not well said Seoulman.

Hey op, I agree with you.
I'm a driver, too. People don't have much regard for other people's stuff. But, that can be any country. As for having an x box and a car, how does that make you a spoiled rich kid?
I have some toys more valuable than those, but I left home to fend for myself since 15. Maybe you guys are just hopeless at saving for what you want?!?

Well...every single car (over a few years old) in Korea seems damaged in some way. It sucks but there is nothing you can do. When you park in the villa area it is very crowded and hard to park....I know.
