Well Thailand is a wonderful place.. I will be going for a few days in AUG. But I doubt I iwll get to hit the beaches.. If you are going to go to the beach I recommend Krabi or some place in the gulf.. The surf is way to strong and ragin for swimming in Phuket in that time of year. |

| I'll be in Phuket 27 Jun - 02 Jul and then maybe onto Phi Phi for a day or two. Koh Samui is also a good Thailand destination. |

| why do you want to go with anyone? when i finished my contract i went to northern Thailand (Chiang Mai) and went bicycling alone for a week. It was great to have some time by myself for more than ten minutes. |

What's the point of posting an online ad for strangers from Korea to go with you to thailand, when you could meet strangers in Thailand anyways?
I dont see the logic, is it that by pure chance you could related to a stranger from Korea better than to a stranger in thailand?
NO OFFENSE! |

I'll be in Thailand for 3 weeks in August, and I'm also traveling alone. It doesn't bother me though. I figure I'll have time to myself if I want it, and if not, I'll meet people when I'm there. I'm actually looking forward to it! |

Weather is ok in August. Worst of the heat is over. Just the continuous rain that does you in.
I personally would get on a bus and head towards the north east of Thailand. Just go from town to town and see what life is really about.
Do you really want to sit around with lots of other foreigners cringing at the way they behave towards the Thais? The constant embarrassment that they are convinced everybody is trying to rip them off. Arguing over ten baht like it's the end of the world.
Do it alone. |
