Anyway building a fence from Cali to Texas wouldn't work and would also hurt the US economically. Cheap workers are essential to the american economy. You should be welcoming these mexicans with open arms. After all it was those sort of people that built your country in the first place.

Well, when American citizens can walk into Mexico, and receive all the benefits (if any) of a tax paying Mexican citizen, then that could make a difference.

No. It is time for the U.S. to put its foot down on this.

Why? You get cheap labor, they get a chance for their children(or more likely grand children) to move up in the world. Seems like a win/win to me.

I just read this real interview with dmbfan:

Jim: Did you actually believe that interview was real?

Dmb: I sure did!

Jim: Why?

Dmb: Because I'm a big dumb homer simpson-style rube who will believe any old inflammatory, race-baiting email that comes into my inbox!

Jim: But if you have no idea where it comes from, why would you believe it?

Dmb: I lack critical thinking skills! It's simple-minded morons like me that are dragging America down, and I'm busy worried about immigrants because my head is too thick and stupid to understand any problems that don't involve white people vs. brown people.

Jim: Please, make some more statements that make you look bad.

Dmb: Watch out for chemtrails!

Funny, I'll give you that. But, what is even more funny is that you are acutally putting effort into coming up with your drama sketch, based on the assumption that I thought it was real. Learn to read man, learn to read. If I thought it was real, I would have made more of an issue of it.

But still...........that was funny!

While I don't believe that the interview is real (as others have noted, it's way too one-sided), I don't think dmbfan ever stated that he thought it was real, did he?

As for the very delicate subject of illegal immigrants in the United States (and they're not all from Mexico, btw - I live in Los Angeles and the illegal immigrants here come from Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Korea, China, Iran, Russia, Kenya...you get my drift), I think the U.S. economy would come to a complete standstill without illegals. That's right because if we kicked all the illegals out, who would do all the menial jobs that the lazy and unemployed Americans don't want to do? Who'd work the agricultural fields? Who'd clean our houses and offices? Who'd wash our cars? Not to mention, in Los Angeles, we'd lose almost our entire industry of restaurant workers. Walk into any restaurant in Los Angeles (it doesn't matter whether they're serving up $50 steaks or $1 tacos), and I guarantee you that you'll find illegals.

That said, illegals also are a burden on the economy because many of them come to this country and they have children and are allowed to collect welfare and are provided with free medical care and other social services despite the fact that most of them don't pay taxes. I don't have the exact figures, but the numbers are staggering. The fiscal burden of illegals on the America economy amounts to billions of dollars each year.

So, it's evident to most Americans that illegals both help and hurt our economy. Is there a fair solution that would make everyone happy? I don't know.

It's implicit in his posting of it here. Really, any person not so jaded by his own views and giddy at seeing them deliciously played out just as he expected lacks critical analysis skills, perhaps always, but definitely in that scenario. He lapped it up like a starving street cat given a bowl of warm piss.

His whole "I didn't believe it" routine is nothing but backpedaling, because he lacks the integrity to simply admit he was taken in. The whole part about him supposedly being skeptical about it came after the snopes link, and a couple of people pointing out the obvious to him.

Wow, I can't believe people are taking that thing seriously. I read it as a joke interview. It was friggin hilarious too, I was laughing through the entire thing. I think the trick is when reading the Juan part you have to actually be able to hear the Mexican accent.

Anyways, lighten up, that was some funny sh!t.

Get rid of social security programs. Then when people come it is up to them to make it or not, there's no safety netting. That way it would stem those that wanted a free lunch but still encourage those that want a new start/have entrepreneurial ambitions to come.

My vote for ESL armchair general (wannabe) of the year is ...Qinnella!
Even if I did believe it, what is it to you? Does it actually bother you so much that you insist on brining this up? Are you trying to be cool, or something?

OR....or....it could be you just too wrapped up in your own bullshite to have a sense of humor? If anyone is lacking BASIC analytical skills, I believe that is you....sorry man. When you see "This was sent to me today....", with nothing else written AFTER, hmmmmm..........well, I don't have a Masters degree, but if I read that, I would not assume ANYTHING.

Enjoy your bullshite, because you are the only one that is lying in it.
