EDIT: Okay, I see that this was discussed earlier.
My new contribution might be:
After giving this link, I pointed out that on the very same Chosun page, there's the link to a story about a Korean teenaged boy having an affair with a married Korean woman. She gets caught with him and cries rape, takes him to court, demands damages. Judge eventually figures it out and releases the guy.
So, the Chosun is bashing the foreigner for warning his girlfriend that she has slept with a guy who might be positive and she should get tested. Terrible, terrible foreigners! Then, on the very next page, there's the story of a Korean housewife sleeping with a teenaged boy, claiming rape, prepared to see him go to jail for two years and still demanding damages.
Kinda pales in comparison, eh? In fact, there is no comparison.
This digital news site of what is supposed to be Korea's most respected news organization, the Chosun Ilbo, is reporting on something so insignificant. And why? Purely for the hate factor.
Can you imagine any newspaper or news organization in America dedicating space regularly to "hate the foreigners" . . "look how dirty the foreigners are" . . editorials articles? Can you imagine the Washington Post wasting ink to report on such a story?
This kind of "cr*p" - engaged in by the nation's supposedly most respected news organization only goes to show how fricking small, backwards, and third worldish Korea is in this world.

You know, the more I look at this, this is really a case of libel. The Digital Chosun made sure to black out the names and email addresses of the ex-girlfriend and whoever she forwarded it to four days after receiving it.
It is clear that it intentionally left Mr. Yates name and email address. It is feeding him to the netizens. It's not reportinng; it's defaming; that is the intent of the article: defame all English teachers and defame Mr. Yates in particular.
