Anyone know of any used videogame type places in Seoul? Any specific suggestions on a store? I'm looking for a CD/Game Exchange type place like they had back in the states. Are these types of places available in Korea?

Correct. Yongsan (pronounced YO as in, "Yo, what's up?") electronics market is your best bet.

Gamer's Row is located a ways off from the the I'Park mall, but has the best selection, prices, and opportunities to haggle.

When you're at the market, look for a large, yellow, rotating Nikon sign on top of a building. To its left down the hill, you'll see an Xbox 360 banner hanging over a downward ramp. Walk down that ramp to a gamer's paradise. Just about every title, controller, modification, and upgrade can be found there.

Happy hunting, and get yourself a real system while you're at it. Razz

You can get a used PS2 for under $100 if you shop around.

If you're really looking for a good pre-gen console, go with modded Xbox. You can get dozens of games ripped directly onto the hard drive, and Xbox Media Center is awesome. It supports just about every type of media file imaginable. For example, I burn AVI files of tons of TV shows and watch them on the big screen.

A properly modded (used Xbox) will run you around $150-$200, and that includes the games. No need to insert or eject discs...it rocks. Go with a Korean friend/co-worker and you should be able to find one lickety-split.

Be careful what you buy ... lots of PS2 games are coded just like DVDs and won't play in an American PS2. Learned that one the hard way.
