|
|
| So I am looking for those communicative board games which are invaluable for students wishing to practice talking about particular subjects to download on the internet and print off for some classes. The only problem I have is that I cannot find some board games to print off for some lessons with elementary adult students. If anyone can recommend any website, please let me know. |

Try this in my teaching folder.
http://www.esnips.com/doc/2dd3dae7-cea0-483d-b922-247ea874ca9a/ESL-Teachers-Games-Pack
I also have other games in the teaching folder, as well as Tell Us about cards, Finish it cards. No board but students flip a card and have to answer questions, make statements. discuss. Also other board games there and the standards, Pictionary cards, Monopoly and Clue...

Did you know that Summerhill is the location of a New York State nudist colony?

That would be quite appropriate! Could be a new pedagogical approach.
Quite the coincidence for me too today. Just read in my new issue of Outside magazine of a sherpa standing and dancing naked on the top of Everest for 5 min. He claimed it was for world peace. Now how's that for "balls"? I'm sure he has some sort of record anyways and is a graduate of the school of high places....

You've probably already looked, but http://bogglesworldesl.com has quite a few boardgames. You can even change the words to suit your needs. I've used them quite a few times, especially with reticent/shy adult classes that need constant prompting.
http://bogglesworldesl.com/esl_games.htm is the direct link. |

| Try www.eslhq.com. You can make your own board games using the clipart they have. I generally make the sequence of pictures board games using dice. Students have to adapt the phrase we're learning to whatever picture they land on. Good luck. |
