If Jinju can insinuate that I'll be making my living as a hooker and get away with it, then calling his wife a blow-up doll is not "off-limits."

Furthermore, there is a higher probability that Jinju's wife is a blow-up doll than the likelihood that I'll be making my money as a hooker in Korea. Cool

Why stoop to his level?

Good question. Maybe because I'm simply tired of his crap...maybe because I think his insinuation about my making a living as a hooker is exactly the kind of misogynistic behavior that the mods let people get away with and I think it's wrong...maybe because if someone doesn't call him out on his sexist behavior, Jinju will continue to live in his fantasy world where all women make less money than him and all women dress to please the men and all women must not disagree with him. Rolling Eyes

He's completely delusional, and I think most of the people on this board realize that. As a woman, I dress to please myself, but if I am concerned about making an impression, I usually worry about what other women will think of my outfit, not the men. As a woman, I'll be making more money than Jinju in Korea...and instead of accepting the reality that a female gyopo like myself happened to get lucky and landed a great job, he dares insinuate that I'll be making my money as a hooker. Please. No wonder none of the women on this board can stand Jinju.

See, I never even thought of that...you need help.

As far as the likelihood of you being a hooker, I see its been on your mind.

That's sort of the point-- Jinju lives in his very own world. He will believe what he wants to believe. He's impervious to logic, because he only reads what he wants to read. Take his comments on the rape thread, for instance. He believes (and has repeatedly said) that I was trying to "organize a lynch mob" when I explicitly stated the opposite, and have refused to openly publish any information that would encourage that sort of behaviour.
He'll stalk, provoke and harass, just for the fun of it. He holds bitter grudges, and believes that others feel the same way towards him. I don't know whether he is as hateful and narrow-minded as he appears to be, but I do know that he craves negative attention (he even started a thread about himself intended to draw fire so he could start more wars.)

The most effective thing you can do to someone like Jinju is refuse to give him the satisfaction, and just ignore him. I'm violating my own rule here just once, hoping that others will follow suit.

You seriously need help. There was no insinuation. You saw what you wanted to see. My only insinuation is that you have no chance in hell making what you claim. My whole point was that you are living in a fantasyworld. Any insinuations are your own. Simply put, you are mentally out of whack and you need help.

I still believe your motives in that thread were not above board Kermo. But whataver, that thread is ancient history.

What I like is how you ladies seem to have everyone figured out. I mean with a leader like Freak, you cant go wrong eh?

I started the thread about me to show one thing. I can take what you can dish out. It was supposed to be a fun thread, and it was. Who do you know on Daves that can take negative crap as well as me?

Please. You are even more delusional than I thought. You can dish it out, but you can't take it when we dish back. Your idea of "taking negative crap" is sending hateful and threatening PMs to those who retaliate with pot shots of their own after getting sick of your abuse. No one is buying what you're selling...not even with whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles on top. You're so transparent and pathetic that you're laughable. You're like a buffoon who never ceases to amaze people with your stupid pet tricks.

I'm sorry that your life sucks and that you're not making nearly as much as you would like, but it's not my fault. Life isn't fair. Deal with it.

And if anyone is living in a fantasy world, trust me, it's you. Cool

That is a good summary, and good advice to consider.

Now that you mention it, he reminds me of that animated image that is used as an avatar,

with the guy furiously typing on his keyboard with bleeding hands working up to his arms disintegrating into a bloody mess,

then left with only his head for a weapon, he smashes his skull down into a bloodbath of total self destruction.

You are welcome.

If he could incorporate that bloody avatar image into his cosmic consciousness,

he could have a paradigm shift with miraculous consequences.

In order to prepare for that, he would first have to start believing in miracles.

Guys who have worked in Korea (or any Asian) for more than a few months come to see the vast differences between women here and women from back home. Some of us have very little contact with western women anymore apart from here. While we may have some mutual interests and concerns in our work-related lives and a few other things, on a social level white women are of little relevance to many of our lives. This is why I think there's often a tendency to denigrate western women's points of view on a board like this.

-My reasoning works differently.I think people just like to say stuff to upset other people because this is the internet. I also haven't had an original thought in weeks.

Of course there's that, too. But I think that suggesting that western / white women are second best does touch a few nerves. There are plenty of white women who's company is perfectly enjoyable, but the fact that many of us feel that 'we' don't actaully need 'them' in our lives anymore whereas most of 'them' feel that they still need 'us' creates a power dynamic that's a lot different from back home.

We need white men? How do we "need" you?

Anyway, if a white woman's POV is not appreciated on this board, then whose is? Only a Korean woman's? Only an Asian woman's, and fellow white guys then? What about other races, or ages? So you'd appreciate a newbie white guy's opinion fresh out of college and new to Korea, say, but not that of a white woman who has been here for years and has some experiences others may be interested in?

Freaka, I'll send you a PM tomorrow- it's quitting time!

Well that depends on the topic, of course. I'm sure you have invaluable insights on some aspects of Korea (like what prospective Korean airline stewardess should expect) based on your experience in Korea. I was talking more socially. I really don't care what white women think of fruit arriving at the staff room and the female teachers immediately springing up to slice and serve it to the male teachers, for instance. Female Koreans' opinions on such matters would be very interesting.

And as for who needs whom - I suspect that you're a lot different from most white women, especially clueless, PC newbies. Sorry to lump you in whith them - that's why I said 'most of them'. Most of them would suffer a lot if they were, say, depraved of western male company for a month or two, and many are dependent on western guys and couldn't live here without the protection and support of them. For most white guys going without white women ranges from irrelevant to a blessing.
