Sorry, I saw a post about this a while ago, but I couldn't find it now.
I'm about to leave the country for a month (I'll be starting a new job). My contract is over, and my visa ends tomorrow. Is my bank account here going to be ok, (will my money be safe?), or should I shut it down?

| Yes, your bank will be safe, so long as no one has your bank card or bank book. |

If you are coming back it will be just fine. I do this all the time in between contracts (for up to a year at a time).
If you are NOT coming back you should close it because it is very difficult to close it from abroad. |

| If you aren't coming back but wish to keep it open just in case leave a token man won in the account. |
