Sorry, I saw a post about this a while ago, but I couldn't find it now.

I'm about to leave the country for a month (I'll be starting a new job). My contract is over, and my visa ends tomorrow. Is my bank account here going to be ok, (will my money be safe?), or should I shut it down?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, your bank will be safe, so long as no one has your bank card or bank book.

If you are coming back it will be just fine. I do this all the time in between contracts (for up to a year at a time).

If you are NOT coming back you should close it because it is very difficult to close it from abroad.
