Hey all you travel gurus -

My flight lands in Bangkok at 2am, so I figured I could just catch a 6am flight to Samui from there. I looked online, and it says the first and last flights of the day are discounted to 2000B. It also says that this is for online ticket purchases only. What I am wondering is, do I have to book this ticket ahead of time, or can I wait till I land in Bangkok, and book/pay for it then for the same discounted price? Do you think it could end up being completely booked, and I'll get screwed?

Thanks again!
Smile

I don't see the disadvantage to booking online now. What is the benefit of waiting except, like you said, possibly getting screwed out of a seat.
I did what you are about to do a year ago--get in late, sleep at the airport for a few hours and take the first flight out. It worked out fine, although it was at the old airport.
Come to think of it, does your internatinal flight and the Bangkok Airways flight go out of the same airport??

book it now as seats at that fare sell out fast. you can transfer without having to clear immigration, customs etc at BKK, the Bangkok Airways transfer desk wont be open when you get it but the transfer area is so just hang out there.

Yeah book now. I've done that flight a few times --- it's usually completely full. Another problem you might have is you'll land on Koh Samui at around 7 am --- might have to wait around for accommodation to be open. But maybe not.
