The battery emergency pack costs 50,000. Absolutely ridiculous.
I go home this summer, I'm taking my old MD player with me if I want music that badly. That's a gouge of the highest order; 10, even 20 g's is one thing. |

Watch the Apple users turn on themselves as their products fail to, 'just works'. |

I read about that awhile back and have only bought MP3 players that run on traditional batteries.
None of them play video though, so they are a bit behind the curve. |

Greekfreak, isn't it "malakia"?
Don't worry about that abba guy, he's a sore loser when it comes to Apple gone wrong. |

I don't personally care what he uses. iPod, iRiver, Samsung, Zune, they all do pretty much the same thing. I like iPod, he doesn't. I also like to wait for my cereal to get a little soggy before I eat it, but no one starts threads about their cereal preference as if it's some sort of vindication or as if they've 'arrived'. My question (and my reason for posting in the first place) is why does Geek think that anyone cares if he switches off from iPod to whatever it is he likes better?

| You can buy replacement batteries and install them yourself. It's not that hard. You can find resources on the internet. |

I'm talking about travelling with your ipod--unless you can plug it into any computer with a usb connector and not lose all your songs. I should have thought about that when I bought it, but I bought into the hype as an MP3 player virgin, but I'll be getting something much easier to use next time. Something that's less of a gouge as well.
Re: Abbe--I've noticed his propensity for getting the last word in. Ipod's a great thing to use once you've downloaded the myriad software not even remotely Apple related that's necessary to making the thing user-friendly.
As for who cares, well, why'd you respond if you didn't care? |

I like my Ipod. I will buy a new one soon.
The battery life is not so good, but who cares. I have had zero problems with mine in 3 years, and I still have close to 8 hours. Better than my cellphone battery after 1 year. |

I post maybe once a month (more in the last few weeks but not on this forum) and I have a last word propensity? Really?
I think you're just looking for some kind of pat on the back from someone who must care what you stick in your ears.

Greekfreak, I think that you can buy a thing that plugs your iPod into the wall.
