My husband (who is Korean) and I are moving to Korea in about a month, and he's suggested that we live to Suwon (as opposed to Bundang, which I would prefer as his family lives there).

I have read some other threads commenting on the general experience of living/working in Suwon, so I won't waste your time in that regard, however I was wondering about the general cost of living there? E.g, how much is key money for a 2 bedroom, clean and reasonably nice apartment?

Another issue is salary - I'm giving up a (half begun) career in law at home, so instead of the usual BA or BEd whatever I have an LLB - will this limit my teaching options?

Any advice would be fabulous Smile

Suwon is substantially cheaper than Bundang in terms of housing, food, etc.

the cost of living in all urban areas of korea is essentially the same. basically there are low-cost and high-cost options available in virtually all locations. for example, if you are comparing the exact same apartment constructed by the exact same company (and in the same design) across different neighborhoods/cities, the difference might be $50-100 per month, but most will be essentially similar.
